Yesterday we arrived in a very sleepy little town by the edge of another large lake. Our aim was to catch a boat cruise down to the coast, see some turtles and return to Koycegiz. There was nothing much happening in the town, apart from the various political parties blasting music from their vans as they tried to outdo each other! So this morning ...

I am still struggling to deal with the news, its like it hasn't sunk in yet. Of course, life for me doesn't really change, or will it? There is a ...

For those of you, who didn't like the last couple of paragraphs of the last entry, just skip this entry. If I had my journal with me, this would probably not make it into the blog. I am typing this under the most beautiful starry night. Sure, there is some chill in the air, but how often do you get to sleep under a starry night in the mediterranean sea?! Its pitch dark all around me, and I can only hear the waves hitting ...

... archeological site is the neck of a Protogeometric amphora dating back to the 9th century BC, or even earlier. A statue found at the western gate of the city walls, pieces of imported Attic ceramics and the S-SE oriented city walls show habitation in the 6th century BC. However, none of the architectural finds at Kaunos itself dates back to earlier than the 4th century BC. Traversing amongst, and next to these ancient ruins was a rush for each of us. Being this close ...
