... and yet the evidence of our own eyes and ears tell us something else entirely. Certainly there are tensions and difficulties. Certainly our governments do not always, in fact in some cases hardly ever, agree on the best way forward. But for the ordinary European citizen it seems to me the ‘experiment’ is going well and achieving exactly what it originally set out to do.

We set off early tomorrow for our first overnight stop in Hungary. The weather today is awful but the forecast for Thursday is much better. We don't expect to have 15 days on the bike without having to wear our wet gear. It would be nice,however, not to have to set off in the rain.
So, what that means is unpacking, driving, packing, driving, GPS fails and more driving, more unpacking and more packing…. blah blah blah.
I know, I know, no one feels sorry for us…I am sure no one is like “oh, poor things, they have to pack and drive on their three month European summer vacation - gaw….I hope they’re okay!”
