... Sunday, the cathedral was in use (go figure!) and not open for visitors until 12:30, so we walked the rest of the way to the Viking Ship Museum located on the Roskilde fjord. Learning of the day – not all fjords are deep channels of water surrounded by tall mountains. ... the old part of town, Petra and B want to climb the tower, I go to have a look inside the church and there is an extremely good choir in rehearsal so, together with a small number of others I sit down and listen. So in the past 12 or so hours we've had glog, a lot of Carlsberg beers, wine, several Danish-style Irish coffees, Danish espressos, pulses (Danish sausages), Danish goulash, smorrebrod, and Danish pastry. It seemed like a lot of food, but looking at that list, it really is just a lot of alcohol. In our defense, it is chilly here, so one must keep warm, and heated booze is highly efficient at that.
