... and it was clear the ferry wasn't coming anytime soon. After some more decrypting of German we realised the ferry was coming at 2pm. Off to the next ferry station!

We cycled on to Finkenwerder and were very surprised to not only find one ferry but a whole collection. It was essentially a bus station for ferries. Within 10 minutes we were on a ferry heading straight for the centre of Hamburg.

... to Bremerhaven railway station for her journey back to Crailsheim (Bremerhaven, Hanover, Stuttgart, Crailsheim) arriving at 12.35am. We won't see Vera again until we are back in Adelaide. ... since their ice-cream menu was a double side of A3. After much logical thinking we concluded the only possible option was to have 2 desserts each. Two mountains of ice-cream arrived which we both devoured in a record time. The waiter didn't think we could manage it. In total the meal came in at under 20 a head so pretty good value in my book! Oh bloody hell, the bloody clasp won't close on the ******ned, mother-effing costume and the cue to enter is all of ten fear-stricken seconds away. Martina’s horrendously pathetic yet successfully pity-inducing whimpers of, "Please, help me…" have left me bent over her right bum cheek like a squat, little goblin, my only achievement thus far to not be knocked out by her wildly flailing ostrich arms.
