    ... to do anything tourist, either did Jess and Ben. We had a nice late lunch in view of the main cathedral. We asked the our server where we could go that was not full of tourist. He suggested Piazza Santo Spirito. We decided,we would walk to Piazza Michelangelo to see the sunset. The plaza is on top of a hill that over looks Florence.     ... the hotel, our hotel, had recommended an Italian restaurant not far from the Casa Masoli. We took the option of sipping inside - yep, there was AC. The meals were excellent. Annette had what she described as the best tortellini that she has ever eaten and I had the mixed mate skewers with grilled veg. Mine was top notch.

    ... So we called in there on our way back and indulged. I scored three scoops and Annette two. I probably have two scoops too many! One more story. DT's or speedos for you oldies, is why all males of my vintage wear. Board shorts are not the worn thing. There I go, not in fashion yet again!

    We are now back at the hotel, sitting out the front under the awning using the WiFi. Will post this entry and off to bed. Another big and hot day tomorrow.

    ... secondary road - SS16. Bugger, it only cost us a bit over 2km, but that was two km's that we could easily done without.

    We followed the road until with arrived in Fano where we were able to ride along the rail line and the beach on a bike path! You beauty! The last 11.5km were hot, but we made good time.
