Polska przywitala mnie bardzo pieknie. Caly tydzien cieplo i slonce- lepiej jak w Hiszpanii. Tak zeby mi zal nie bylo. Dookola super zielono- po hiszpanskiej pustyni, ciagle nie moge sie napatrzec.
Jeszcze nie do konca sobie wyobrazam zmiane japonek i szortow na fartuch ze sluchawkami, ale damy ...

No Room at the Inn...

Now as the direction of travel is essentially eastwards and we are a sailing boat, easterly ie safe winds are no good, so you need something with some west in it, but not too strong else you can't make port and not too weak else you can’t sail. So, some luck with the weather is required if you want to sail up the coast of Poland.

Not what it said on the tin
Drove from Gdansk to Darlowo hoping to have a nice fish lunch, but couldn't find the sea - or anyone who spoke English for that matter! It was only after we had bought ham (about a kilo!) and cheese from the deli, did we find a map to the beach.
After looking around Darlowo, we headed to our hotel- another disappointment. It was supposedly a spa located in the forest, but was located directly beside the highway, and with no AC. Lucky we didn't book two ...
Into Poland today
... old buildings, much fewer people, and mosly locals. Had a beer in a terrace front with some fun people watching. Pat counted over 100 women of all ages with red dyed hair, a vestige of the communist era when Henna dye was all that was available.
We are still avoiding freeways, trading off lost time for lower stress, and far more interesting ...
