      ... of wooden sculptures of Indian gods and even a crucifix. Entire section of artifacts donated by some ancient royal indian family that includes real Ming Dynasty Vases and traditional Japanese masks. Happy to report that both N1 and I enjoyed it.

      ... was a vast quantity of rubbish piled up by the fishermen's shack and the fish market not surprisingly smelled of fish. Following the coast road we went back to Kollam beach which was much more lively in the early evening. Large numbers of families were cruising about on the beach flying kites but no swimming, because of the currents, with vast numbers of snack stalls everywhere as well as people selling each toys.       ... trek but there were parts that were quite tricky and extremely steep at times - glad we didn't go for the 'hard' trek - we were exhausted at the end.       ... our stay apart from the festival and the birthday celebrations. However, our attitudes surprisingly began to shift. The Yoga was doing wonders for my back and the early starts were actually quite invigorating. We found spoons to eat with. The food was actually quite tasty and the helpings were seemingly endless.
