The tears carried on and off throughout the journey. You get yourself composed and then think about people again and then you start crying. Then you end up thinking about everyone else you have left behind and cry even more! Hopefully that feeling should improve as time goes by.

You see, and this is a secret... when I really want to pamper myself I go to the grocery store, buy some of the sharpest cheddar I can find, some fruit (usually grapes or berries), chocolate cake and eat as much of it as I can contain with a glass of red wine. ... some of the different neighbourhoods in London. I always find it amazing how close the main sights are located. It is such a big city but most of the tourist spots are all within walking distance. I didn't spend all of my spare time shopping - I did manage to get to the National Gallery and to the British Museum.
