Well, the incredible weather has finally broken. We had quite a bit of rain overnight, and today we've had occasional showers (occasionally) all day - fortunately mostly when we've been driving. We drove through the village of Coniston, and then our morning tea stop was Hawkshead - a beautiful little village full of whitewashed houses and the most striking multicoloured hanging baskets full of begonias.
