    After a wonderful holiday we' finally reached the final day.iIn the morning Roddy & Glenda went to visit Hyde Park - very picturesque. While the boys checked out some pubs in the arvo the girls had some retail therapy. We all reconvened for final dinner and drinks at Hudsons Bar to celebrate our fantastic holiday. We'll bid a sad farewell to Ann tomorrow before setting off for the Land of Oz. Looking forward to getting back to home ...

    ... that include a lot of open parkland. There are also a couple of water features, notably the Round Pond and a lake called Serpentine and Long Water. The grounds are easily walked via beautiful wide walkways and a roadway leading to the Palace. In fact, the gardens are very popular for walking and jogging and in some areas cycling. There were a lot of people doing all three activities whilst we were there.

    ... headed to then hostel. Showers, get ready, etc and then we were off to get some dinner and then onto the west end. Went to Nando's opposite King's Cross station. Very different to how it works back home - you're seated, and given menus. You still order at the counter though. And you can buy bottomless soft drink.     ... I believe that had shorted out the fire system. The alarms kept going on and off for an hour until a technician came out and silenced it...
