The mighty Dolomite Passes
... about 40 minutes or so up here at the summit of "Pordoi pass" I decided I better make tracks. The road down the pass was great and with the sun as it was it was more like midsummer than winter. The road was dry all the way so some great fun was to be had on this wonderful winding road with its sweeping bends etc.
Soon I was back down at about 1000ft or so altitude and there was not a sign of snow anywhere. The temp had now reached a whopping 12 Celsius. I ...
Onwards to find the Dolomites
... arrived into the town of Trento. Not quite where I wanted to be but at least I now had the option of getting on the motorway if need be but instead I took yet another quick ride up another pass which I noticed from the road.
This winding road took me up "Paso Campo". It was nothing special other than great mountains with a view point at the top. After a few photos it was back down the pass and onto the motorway to head North towards the Dolomites.

I was surprised to wake up in one piece - the man that opened us our Zimmer at ortisei looked really weird and he had the face of the crazy Austrian we saw on the news...quickly I started telling myself a story about how he will kill us and give us to the dogs...brrrrr....
