... for food and drink when necessary; we talked to a few locals here and there; we sat on the terrace and thought about life. Not much to tell, but fantastic to live. It was what we came to Italy for.
Sadly, Anacapri was only one night. In that time, other than general wandering we watched the sunset at the Foro lighthouse. We ate a three hour dinner at the Barbarossa restaurant while a room full of Italians watched the Napoli ...

... scooters, and other buses would maneuver around each other like a ballet. Inch up, check the clearance, inch up, honk if it was ok, inch up, then speed away until the next vehicle was encountered. Did i mention hairpin turns and drop off cliffs? These clearances were no more than 2 inches!!! Not exaggerating! And there are no sidewalks! People were walking, service vehicles were delivering, people were parked, for God's sake! And our bus drivers just whistled a happy tune all ...

... the train had good brakes! We then walked around again seeing lovely walkways and some very expensive shops. Apparently a lot of the rich and famous have holiday homes here - I guess they can afford those shops! It is a very quaint place with lovely buildings and alleyways and we really enjoyed our time there. There was also some very pretty gardens. I have found in Sorrento and Capri the hydrangeas are ...

... The roads are very narrow and winding so when two coaches meet on a bed, the resolution is always tight. When a motorcyclist is unprepared to wait for the resolution and tries to drive between the two buses when there was only about 30 cm between them, then there is some good old fashioned Italian yelling! We had to swap between the large coach and some small minibuses to get to the quay, so while waiting for the minibuses to arrive, some of us went into the factory where ...
