... s room overlook the port and dad is keeping a keen eye on the fishing boats comings and goings. Of course pizza for tea last night, smiles all round, the meal was delicious, as the sun set the sky turn the most amazing blue I have ever seen. Loving using our Italian, great listening the boys use theirs. Not sure what we are doing today

but there is a fishing port and some ruins to explore and a beach close by to find.

  • Funtana meiga - our local beach for the week, where we visited almost every day, in the morning, meeting Cristina's friends - our new friends too: Carmen sito and Santiago, Paula and Ivan, Paulita, Pablo and ?, Azelia, etc etc. And also Nicole if we were lucky. The neighbours Carla and ? And their tiny dog.
  • First swim in Funtana Meiga and I cut my foot badly, ...

    ... you can't resort to your mother tongue, but it's also rewarding as I've been forced to pick up some language, I've met interesting people, and I'm obviously not in a touristy area.     Dominating the site is a Nuragic tower. These are everywhere along the Sardinian coast are the monumental symbols of the island. These nuraghe are supposedly a mystery as to their function and the origins of the people who built them. There are 7000 of these towers still visible some as high as 20metres.

    ... out we just drove in circles getting hungrier and hungrier - not to mention just a tincy bit cranky with each other....

    To cut a long story short, some old fellows finally pointed us in the direction of an Agriturismo just "down the road" (we had been looking for a hotel or a b&b for hours by this time!!!!). Probably had driven past this one at least twice!

    Escaped that car about 7.30pm and were warmly welcomed by a lovely family running this Agriturismo ...
