A travel blog entry by anlnewby on Sep 24, 2015

Today was an early start. It hurt but it needed to be done so we could get to the airport in time for our flight. That's right we were off on a beer hunt in Munich. It was easy enough to get out to the airport. There was a small hold up that we thought would make us have to change things around but it was all good in the end. We got to Heathrow airport and wow. It was amazing. Nothing like I'd ever seen before. It ran like a ...

... I thought I would find Lennox ( my friend from Dortmund who I went to school for a while with) pretty easily however neither him not his friend Nils could be found. ... me at the end of the day and asked if visiting the camp a second time was any different from the first. Although the camp looked the same and the museum displayed the same information that I had already learned, it absolutely was different. Instead of occupying my visit with obtaining facts and information, my visit this time around helped reinforce the importance of memory. It was beneficial for me to return because I spent my ...

We picked up the hire car in Munich and it was a bit harrowing trying to remember to drive on the right (wrong) side of the road. Harrowing for me as the passenger anyway. Dave did a great job though and we made it safely to our apartment after only a few wrong turns and driving north instead of south. Munich involved more fun beer halls including the famous Hofbrauhaus (yep, bought the beer stein as a souvenir) and lovely sunny beer gardens. We went to the ...
