... roast meats, pizza, salads and an assortment of sandwiches/breads. The food we get at diners/service stations in Australia just doesn't compare, apart from Jaegers at Tailem Bend who do great food. Anyway, we left Italy with a full stomach and several kilos heavier! ... I had a photo in front of the famous red carpet walked by many a movie star. Cannes is certainly a haven for the rich and shameless; top class fashion shops are found on every corner ie. Dior, Chanel, Burberry etc. Roberta & I probably couldn't even afford the bag they put your shopping into! One could do some serious credit card damage in Cannes for sure.

... quick train ride and we were there, sweating our you know what's off.    We wandered around the Marina which was rather speccy, definitely a step up from Nice (which i was fascinated by). Multi storey multi million dollar boats everywhere which sharp looking captains and deck hands loitering about. ... when we discover there is a museum/gallery devoted to
Henri Matisse. This proves to be a real find. Three levels of paintings,
pencil lithographs, bronze sculptures, and photographs. The collection
is quite extensive, and takes an hour or two to see. Next to the Matisse
