The last two days we have travelled around a fair bit along the coast. We began yesterday by catching an early train to Menton. Menton is described as 'the pearl of France' and I immediately found it really cool that had we stayed on the train for one more stop, we would have been in Italy. I guess coming all the way from little old New Zealand and having spent the first 10 years of my life in the one country. To be on the beach in one country ...

... as monarch. A special exhibition focused on informing the public on and changing attitudes about sharks involved a large touch tank where sharks roamed and met inquisitive humans. Large aquariums of various aquatic dwellers were a pleasant sight in the lower floors, but were typically crowded.

The lady on the satnav helpfully tells Monsieur that he should continue onto "Le Grande Corniche". Monsieur is sure that he has heard of this road before.
