We woke in The Marmara with enough time for one more breakfast before flying home. Looking at the empty sun loungers that we had sat on the day before with Hannah we both felt a strange sad absence at the same time. A text message in the night had let us know she was home ...

Today, the Rhapsody of the Seas pulled into Bodrum, Turkey, and I'm afraid that the Turners did not get off the ship. We always enjoy the days when the ship is in port, because the decks are empty! We know that Bodrum is a beautiful beach town, but we have been to so many fabulous beaches, we decided to skip it. We gesticulated with the non-English speaking owner enough for him to understand that we had a similar business in Australia and were interested in the fascinating paddle wheel propulsion system of his boats. He showed us a ...

Today we were off to visit three areas which lay close to each other. After out van picked us up, we made a stop for another passenger by the name of Brooks. It turned out he was a Episcopal minister on sabbatical traveling in the footsteps of the apostle Paul. He was a great fellow traveller and a wonderful source of information. The first site we visited were the ruins of the ...
