... dinner. Theres a bit of dog **** on the street. Usually a sign things are running amuck, in my book. Maybe it's just the neighbourhood. Not far we hit the promenade. It reminds us of the Dalmatian coast. Hundreds upon hundreds of double and triple mast schooners. It looks wealthier and bigger and in some ways dirtier. Not much, but just a little edgier. We find a place to eat but the terrace doesn't open until 7:30, almost our bed time. We walk ...

We arrived in Bodrum in Turkey and hopped aboard our Turkish Gulet. It's a traditional Turkish boat. Our captain was Oolash, his crewman was Uur and our Cook was Bydem. We headed out cruising down the coast. The water was incredibly blue and warm! We saw sea turtles, jellyfish and garfish. Greg caught a moray eel. We ate A LOT! No chocolate for Mrs K when I get back!! Everyday we ...

The water is sparkling blue and warm. The weather is perfect and ...

... When we get there however the views are spectacular and we get our first taste of the authentic Greek seaside architecture. The ruins are on top of a quite large mountain and there are only two ways up, walking, and its hot, or on the back of a donkey. When in Rodos, ride the donkey which we did. Up a very steep and rocky road to the top. Not sure the donkey was too happy when he first saw me. He had the look of "really, why me" Once there ...

Today we were off to visit three areas which lay close to each other. After out van picked us up, we made a stop for another passenger by the name of Brooks. It turned out he was a Episcopal minister on sabbatical traveling in the footsteps of the apostle Paul. He was a great fellow traveller and a wonderful source of information. The first site we visited were the ruins of the ...
