... near our centuries old farmhouse this afternoon. We're staying at a B&B on the island of Nagu and nobody else is here. There are about 6 rooms and this house would hold 15 people or more. But school started August 10, there aren't many foreign tourists, and the locals are done for the season. That's why shoulder season travel is so great: easy to get a room and prices are right. Our bus back to Helsinki was due to leave at 5, so we grabbed our bags and got a taxi back to the bus stop. Turku is beautiful and I'm glad I made it there. I'm quite sad that this trip is very nearly over. But it's been a lot of fun.

This is quite a populated area for Finland compared to where we have been when travelling from Rovaniemi so few, none even, places to stopover so we are at a campsite. Had a look at the port yesterday evening to make sure we know the route for our early morning departure tomorrow and also found no free stopover place there. Apparently it was an old famous ship that Finnish people come from all over to see and experience, we just booked it because it was the cheapest accommodation in town.
