Oh well, what’s done is done J I did also manage to sneak a few macaroons into my bag for Spencer as, unlike his mother, he actually stops eating when he is full and couldn’t even fit his favourite dessert in. How is it that a 10 year old can be more sensible than his mother??

To try to counteract our (well, my) eating frenzy we went for a walk around the ferry before bed and we were ...

... 1500's. Throughout its history, the castle has functioned as a defensive fortress, luxurious residential palace, admin centre, prison and garrison. A film soon to be released, The Girl King, had many scenes filmed in the castle because it outlines the life of Queen Kristina who resided there. And what a charming little place it is! It's a guesthouse as opposed to a backpacker hostel, with a large sitting room, a sauna for guests, and a country feel to the area. Every room is decorated differently -- ours is entirely in white, for instance, while another room ...

... wanting to pack a wet head towel and do the communal thing again. But at the Youth Hostel I find.... COMMUAL SHOWERS!!!! These at least are individually partitioned off with shower screens so not that bad and there is no one in there. I shower and put on a dress I bought the day before, not really lounging around a youth hostel attire but everything that needs washing is getting washed, and that includies the undies, luckily I have the laundry to ...
