Emolahti Camping Pyhajarvi, sadly with out internet as probably the only 'internet white spot' in Finland. Anyway several hundred kilometres south of Rovaniemi and about 200km short of Jyvaskyla where today we plan to call in to see Gwyneth, Timo and Johannes. Gwyneth was the first student from Rolle Faculty of Education, University of Plymouth to travel to Rovaniemi with me many years ago when we enjoyed a first trek with the University ...

... great views and only 5 mins walk or so from the hotel. No complaints here.

Had some grub at Ali Baba's Pizza place - B
Pizza and a large coke for 10 euros. Don't mind if I do. Big pizza actually, took half of it home!

Well next weekend I'm off to Tallinn but the weekend after I'm hoping to take the trip down to Tampere for the day, so we'll see what that has in store!

... but think more towards pub style food than Hilton and you are spot on. The staff here are very friendly though so thats always a big plus!

Ate at Gringo Loco's in centre of Jvaskyla - B
Mexican restaurant, pretty standard fare really. Lots of options (include a "death plate" which looks really spicy) but there was nothing too fancy about it and again it clocked in at 30 euros for a (I admit very large) single course meal with a beer.

      The Love Bus

A travel blog entry by liamharte on Jul 25, 2013

After reminding us on a number of occasions to turn our clocks forward by an hour, our tour guide managed to forget to herself and as such there was a little bit of confusion as to why breakfast was being served so late. Today we continued south through Finland and, as it was a long driving day, we took part in an interesting activity on the bus where we were randomly given the name of someone on the tour and we had to write them a love letter. This letter had to include ...
