... flagged down a passing repair guy and almost physically brought him to my room. He fixed the electricity problem by hardwiring it around the key lock next to the door rather than replacing the unit. Worked for me.

Cellphone service was spotty even in high-traffic areas. The WiFi never functioned very well in any location I tried, and uploading photos or other kinds of internet capability they take for granted in Turkey and Poland, ...

The reason I love Sharm el-Sheikh so much is it's a holiday mecca! The place - a gorgeous sea view beach setting - has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Yes it's nice to see the locals and culture on holidays, but here you don't experience the down sides of this. From clubbing to quading in the desert, diving to fine food, this place has everything for an enjoyable ...

One thing ...

... were supposed to have that morning, we still had to endure a tender trip back to the ship. We arrived on board about 11:00 PM. At 5:00 AM the next morning we had to get up to go on our tour to St. Catherine's Monastery. We had sailed overnight to Sharm El-Sheikh, a resort town on the very tip of the Sinai Peninsula. This was another non-stop 3 1/2 hour trip through mountainous desert. The scenery this time was absolutely spectacular though! Many times it looked like fjords, ...

... the alternate site wasn't that great.

That damn 2nd dive spot is cursed for us! We had gone there about 2 months ago from Dahab as part of a 3 dive package and that time we had to end the dive early because 3 idiots in our group ****** up. One went 10 metres too deep immediately after we all dove in, another got confused and wandered off to join another dive group and the 3rd dove with a bad sinus cold, had problems with his ...
