... the rest of Europe or the US, were certainly beyond its scope. I have no idea how the Muslim Brotherhood managed to use Facebook and Twitter to foment the revolution against Mubarak. I couldn’t make either one work long enough to rebel against my hotel.

It appears to me that Egypt is still a largely dysfunctional country, and has a long way to go to reach functionality.

But there is hope. Remember, “Arabs Got Talent!” ...

The reason I love Sharm el-Sheikh so much is it's a holiday mecca! The place - a gorgeous sea view beach setting - has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. At 5:00 AM the next morning we had to get up to go on our tour to St. Catherine's Monastery. We had sailed overnight to Sharm El-Sheikh, a resort town on the very tip of the Sinai Peninsula. This was another non-stop 3 1/2 hour trip through mountainous desert. The scenery this time was absolutely spectacular though! Many times it looked like fjords, ...

... the alternate site wasn't that great.

That damn 2nd dive spot is cursed for us! We had gone there about 2 months ago from Dahab as part of a 3 dive package and that time we had to end the dive early because 3 idiots in our group ****** up. One went 10 metres too deep immediately after we all dove in, another got confused and wandered off to join another dive group and the 3rd dove with a bad sinus cold, had problems with his ...
