... place to try shopping. There was a huge mall which was just an absolute treat; floor upon floor of very similar shops selling handbags, tailor made clothes, kids toys, and electronics. We'd forgotten that smoking and spitting were allowed indoors.

In terms of fakes, Shenzhen is the place to go and there were plenty of Westerners with suitcases ready to haggle. Apparently there are four grades of goods to be found:
Grade 1 is the legit item

... happy hour offer at a cocktail bar. We could have found cheaper but we sat on stools by the road and treated ourselves to £6 cocktails, good price for city centre. We Googled cheap places to drink and basically there weren't any. There was no real backpacker scene in HK because it was quite pricy compared to its neighbours. What we did find though was that locals use "club 7-Eleven". We popped round the corner and found a 7-Eleven amongst the bars etc and sure enough there were suits of ...

... food and a couple of free tea refills we hopped on the Star Ferry to the Promenade for an ice cream whilst we watched the Symphony of Light. Proving that Hong Kong looks better at night this is a twice-nightly light show featuring lasers from the tops of some of the tallest buildings along the skyline. We then hopped back on the Star Ferry but this time got off at Wan Chai, from where we could stroll back to the Hotel Brighton and its oasis of air-conditioning.

... es tracta de petits platets per compartir amb tota la taula. Ens van recomanar el “One Dim Sum” on vam haver de fer una mica de cua al carrer. Boníssim. El propietari del local, de Hong Kong, va resultar que havia estudiat a l’escola d’Hosteleria de Luzern i ara té aquest petit restaurant de molt èxit entre la gent de Hong Kong. El món és petit.

... connection is super fast . Then a walk along a very busy Salisbury Road to Chatham Road and the Hong Kong History museum. As we bought our tickets the young man in the kiosk asked if we were elderly. Indeed we are we said!
