... ate melon and ham, and felt truly lucky to be in such a beautiful place.

Tonight we ate at a small café about a block from our condo and enjoyed the freshest seafood imaginable. I am now a huge fan of sea bass! We made it back to Jade eventually, although with quite a lot of difficulty, assuming that the wind would die down overnight as the heat of the day faded, but once again we found ourselves with strong winds all night. Not quite as bad as Sagres, in fairness, as we both slept well, but definitely not what we were hoping ...

... to pass it, though, the wind filled in and we were getting fairly significant gusts - force 7s - as we headed up to the anchorage at Sagres where we would spend the night.

Even Sagres was still intensely windy; with its howling and the vibrations of the mast shuddering we barely slept, even though we had every confidence in our anchor. So, once again, we were up early to head off to Lagos and escape this windy corner.
