      ... on the pavement in the sun, or even sometimes just in the middle of the cobbled streets. They certainly dont get up for pedestrians and you have to walk around them. We still cant operate the sattelite tv and have given up on that but watch videos and read a lot. We have even found a charity shop with lots of english books and get English newspapers.       ... People very much keep to themselves and behave very quietly. The biggest noise is the olives that drop and and give a little roll on our roof. On our right are Germans (who I haven't let on to speaking German so I can eavesdrop, but unfortunately they hardly speak) who clean and tidy and wash the van constantly (although that seems to be the motor homing males prime occupation) Their neighbours have pot plants that sit in the sun with them.       ... sunshine and beach time. We spent quality time with Hugo (a guide/hostel manager) as we, again, were the only ones in the hostel. He took us on a cave hunt/cliff walk, led us to our coveted hole in the wall breakfast joint, gave us a glimpse into his new "urban" tour of the street art and history of Lagos and capped it all off with a spectacular day of kayaking in and around the cliffs and caves of Lagos.       ... of others. There seems to be a very strong community spirit. We found out the dancing started at 10.30pm, and its a bit far for us folks and its cold out there. We cycled down to the beach which is not very far. It looks glorious too, but the water is too cold to swim in.
