... as opposed to Tahiti. The cost seemed very reasonable. We would want 2 weeks in the islands, and one week for traveling and supplying the boat. Food for thought....... hmmmmmm... maybe this lifelong dream could also become a reality....] We went back to Milena, and enjoyed a round of gin and tonic, before a wonderful Greek meatball dinner, and green veggies... washing it down with our favorite red wine, discovered in Corfu last year. Unlike the last ...

I so loved our place of anchor last night. I fell asleep with tepid, calming winds blowing over the deck, and ruffling my bedsheets. Unfortunately a long night's rest was not in the cards for me. I woke up around 3:00a.m., to a methodical, occasional, "thump", feeling like it was coming from beneath Milena. I woke up very early this morning, and looked out into the darkness, at our small bay which was now infested with more than 30 boats, all with conflicting LED lighting. ... deck of the calicks with the with a squeals of pure pleasure. Lunch today had a wired green leaf, instead of lettuce. In french this plant is called: P O U R P I E R ( Portulaca: pourpier; → purslane; pigweed) It is very crispy, crunchy and reminds me of a lemon flavored scallion. It is wonderful -- I love the crunchy/crispy green. Jacques and Marina served "green wine", just like we had in Madeira last year. It really complemented the pourpier greek ...

... our water tank had been emptied into the engine bay! The remainder of the day was spent pumping out the water, replacing the hose (see pic) in Kas marina, and re-filling our water tank. Another lesson learned - always turn off the tap to the shower hose and the water pump when not in use.

Other minor disasters was our anchoring. The process here is the anchor stern-to the shore with a shore line to stop the boat swinging. To put it politely ...
