... Kremlin & surroundings quite well but didn't see any museums. The city was too buzzing for me to waste my time inside. It was also over 30 degrees every day and by 2 pm the heat really took its stroll on me, so most days I ahd to retire for a few hours before I was able to head out again. As we continued towards Moscow on the trans-siberian the scenery became progressively more European: Less birch trees and more lush greenery and grassy fields. ... my flight. This area, surprisingly, was far cooler than the first part of the airport. There were shops, and newsstands, restaurants, and random little stands where you could buy a beer to wait for your flight. I just sat and waited (like before), occasionally falling asleep for a few seconds here and there. I think I was just in shock when I first arrived. No one spoke English, and I felt like a total outsider.
