Today is walking day, so we plan a route with a little help from my 'Triposo' App. This is free and the best App I have found for Worldwide Travel. It even works well offline. Our first planned stop is at the 'Jan Becher Museum' who invented the national alcoholic sprit called ...

Somehow we had completed a loop climbing the narrow streets again we stopped at the restaurant which adjoins our hotel ...

Our day began in Cesky Krumlov and is to end in Malianske Lazne. The spelling of these names certainly is not easy and I am afraid our pronunciation bears no resemblance to Czech speak. Emma does much better than I in terms of both. I must say in the absence of my tech savvy husband my daughter is doing well throughout her trusty iPhone with downloaded maps, pins dropped at needed locations have served us well and at the moment she is the one handling the Czech money. I know yes ...

... the water is. We ended up hiking all the way around the canyon to try to get the best views and take the best pictures. After this, we hiked the 5 kilometers back to Karlstejn, grabbed some trdelnik and got back on the train to Prague. We were exhausted when we got back, but our friends wanted to go get pizza. So we joined them and finished the night with a game of Phase 10 (which I finally won!). Overall, it was a great weekend with great friends!

    This week ...
