An early start as we are now off to Italy! Driving through the border was one of the most beautiful drives - from the mountains filled with perfumerie plantations and the vast number of tunnels. One interesting fact is that we supposedly went through 185 tunnels between Antibes and Florence!! One thing we have noticed is that the petrol stations are not your typical Pitstop. We got to experience our first taste of Italy by getting a quick pizza ...

... the hotel, said we will be back before the breakfast curfew and trotted off the long distance of 200 mts to the tower. Wasn't raining yet, but we had to dodge the street hawkers selling umbrellas. Honestly they are a very innovative bunch, a bit like inspector gadget, no matter what is going on, they have a bag of tricks somewhere to sell something.

Without the glare of the sun Steve took more photos and we walked around a bit still wondering if ...

Despite having a whole bed to myself rather than a sun-deck cushion I just couldn't sleep last night so I am feeling a little lethargic for my second leg of the journey back to Palma. Its another hot and sunny day in Pisa, temperatures should reach 27 degrees here and when I arrive in Palma it is 33!

I made it to the airport easily on the bus and for €1.50 which has been the cheapest thing yet. I had a lovely breakfast at a cafe by the hotel which was ...
