... on. We had to run into the sea.

Wednesday afternoon we went for a drive in the desert, sluing up and down the dunes in a Toyota Land cruiser. Then we had a camel ride, saw some traditional dancing and ate a barbecued supper (with beer). It was OK. The belly dancer was good!

... amazing! We were all fading fast though so decided not to get off and explore. Back to the mall where we started for early dinner (or ?? was 4pm here and 10pm back home) made it back to the hotel and I think I was first asleep by 6pm!! Not even dark. Kids fought it for a bit longer - they did not want to go to sleep while it was still light but James found them with books on their heads, after he woke up on the couch - also trying to last a bit ...

... s just an attraction. Other then Vegas there's no differentiation in the type of stores. Nothing special about Chanel or Louis Vuitton. They are everywhere. Dubai is known to be one of the hardest cities to photograph. I can see why. First there are the difficulties in the technical part. Everything is huge, but also very near to each other. Even with my 17 mm on full frame I can hardly get the Burj Khalifa fully ...

... up soon after arriving home. They took us dune driving first and we were able to see a beautiful sunset. Then we went back to the camp for some camel riding, a buffet dinner and a belly dance and Tanura dance show. It wasn't too late when we got home so Asoka and I visited Carol in hospital.
