    ... platform, the train arrived in due time and whisked me to Frederick Chopin airport.

    I had already checked-in online so I just had to drop my pack off and go through security. None of the food options in the airport looked appetising so I decided to wait for food on the flight to Dubai. I didn’t have long to wait until they called for boarding. Passport and boarding pass on hand, I stepped onto the plane and started my journey home.

    ... where we will explore on our way home as we will have 3 nights (2 full days) here. Have been thinking of doing a tour to the Hajar Mountains but may stay closer to town, there is certainly plenty to see. Bonus is that Ramadan finished yesterday so at least the place is "alive" again. Oh did I forget to mention no trouble getting a beer during the day - got to keep the fluid intake up in this ...

    ... people to visit. I guess those really into archeology and mythology would be interested. On the whole overrated and overpriced we thought. So off on another "Macca's" tour. We jump in the car and head for the beach. We come to a village which is very busy with the local folk. We decide to stop for a look. Every man and his dog seem to be here, sitting in the coffee/tea houses, playing "okey", sipping tea, having a chat. No women to be seen ... we take a walk ...

    ... around the terminal just to stretch our legs. Once aboard the plane, we chose this 7hour flight catching up on new release movies! 3 and 3/4 movies later we arrived in Dubai airport. We looked around in amazement at the enormous terminal & I was quite keen to snap some pics, but thought that perhaps this may not be a good idea to do in Immigration!
