... an appointment for the later on in the afternoon which gave us enough time to go shopping. Not so close, and out of town, was a supermarket, so we headed there as we had time to kill and would give us an insight to this cool town. ... walking around the town, walking around the park and walking the Tiki Trail up Ben Lomond hill to the viewpoint, so we did all three!

The highlight was the Tiki Trail but we did have a lovely few days ambling around town, treating ourselves to café lunches for a change and one evening decided to go completely off the rails and have 1 glass of wine (what? we’re lightweights ok!) in a cosy pub with a lovely roaring fire ...

... and sunshine, although it was very cold (3C) at 8am. We headed out mid morning in brilliant sunshine, still very fresh on the face, and drove around the lake to the other end, in the direction of Milford Sound and Mount Earnslaw, to a place called Glenorchy, who proudly welcomed us to 'Paradise'! ***********sider that the lake and mountain scenery could get any better from earlier in the week but it did! So many opportunities to stop and take pics of this amazing ...
