... needn't concern ourselves with that! On to brunch, and a most enjoyable repast was had by all at Ivy & Lola's at the Wharf Pub, on the foreshore of lake Wakatipu. Although, Sparrow was a tad put out at missing out on the Blueberry Pancakes on offer, next door! 11:30 and we are off to the Gondola, to go up to the top of the mountain to ride the luge! Much fun was had by all, one highlight being Penguin's overtaking of Bear, in the tunnel, leading up to the grudge race (lap ...

you can see them, it's hard to get a good look. During the feeding time presentation, they turn on red lights – Kiwis can't see red lights so it apparently still looks like normal dark to them but it does allow a better view.

Queenstown is a lovely place to stay; I could easily have spent a week there without getting bored.

Unfortunately the Blackhawks did not 'go' and lost 8-4 but this did not dampen our spirits. Despite none of us knowing the rules, we ...

... Christmas songs in the room before heading out. It's safe to say that the night is s little blurry. What I do know is Claire and I went running to find the Ice Bar (we never actually went in), my flip flop broke and I had to run home to change footwear and we ate pies from the Ferg bakery. We didn't get out of bed the next day until 1.30pm which I'd say sums up the night. Once we were up we were fairly productive though as 13 of us decided to rent bikes and cycle by the lake. It ...

... 48 hours and, following a near miss with an oncoming truck (apparently it is difficult to be seen in the dark when you forget to turn your lights on!) and my increasingly desperate attempts to stay awake at the wheel, I was forced to concede defeat and ask Mitch to drive the final leg of the journey. As soon as we were joined by Skai and Tristan to complete our full compliment in our backpacker's room of 6, we headed straight for the legendary Fergburger's. Despite the lateness of ...
