Most houses served us something called sheet khurma which is a traditional Eid dish. The flavour was not dissimilar to a well seasoned rice pudding, and it had this rice-like food in the milky dish, but there was a lot less of the rice and a lot more of the milk. ... those I see in Mecca. Like Malacca, many merchants here practice Islam and the culture is centered around the religion.
