... to the top of the arches on the grounds, the mazes and the crowned prince gardens. We made sure to get every penny out of our 18.50€ passes. First we did the tour of Schonbrunn Palace which was very interesting, sadly no pictures allowed ! It was very interesting learning about the Hasburgs monarchy, they ruled for a very long time! After the palace we wandered through the gardens going into each of the places our tickets allowed. Very ...

The building was built in 1897 and was extremely modern for its time, the major feature is an ornamental metal shrub in the shape of a sphere. Inside the building we saw the Beethoven Frieze painted by Gustav Klimt which is a painting inspired by Beethoven's 9th symphony. We saw a couple other cool buildings on Friday, but I won't get into detail because ...

... statues and buildings. though I didn't do a tour of the building I greatly enjoyed the incredible views of Vienna (though not the bone-chillling wind that came with standing on a hill) and, though I'm not usually one for architecture, the magnificent building itself. Next I went back into the city and did a circular walk past many of Vienna's historic buildings and sights, including Stephansdom; St Peter's Church, a deceptively huge building that contains just one, vast ...

... we decided to try out the local night life! We found a bar called "Bar Orange" (It's not just a fruit). We got there for happy hour 9-11pm and it was goood! The downside - Smokers. Austria hasn't banned smoking in public places so when we all got back to the hotel, we STANK! Bleurgh! It was a good night though! I don't think I've laughed so much in one day before!

Off to a spa tomorrow for a relax - cannot wait!!
