... You could also watch the artisans making the cloisonné pieces. Beautiful. We had the evening off to get ready for our flight to Xi'an in the a.m. We go right to the Terra Cotta Warriors. Really looking forward to it all. We are all doing great, making new friends and renewing acquaintances. Lots of new and delicious foods to try. Went to the little market by the hotel, lots of Heinz products translated into Chinese, a little weird seeing ketchup that way. More to come ...

Touching Down

... and feeling that same level of excitement and adrenaline that had previously been pushing me through the day. I’m not so certain that groups or even couples travelling together will suffer this phenomenon of realisation, but certainly those travelling alone will be hard pushed not to remember the friends, family and loved ones they have left behind.
