Monday 1st April
Leaving chengdu "looks very flash" airport without any drama we arrived into Beijing in so much smog I didn't see a city light until we slammed into the Tarmac (ok it wasn't that dramatic). On taxi ride to hotel the driver rang hotel for directions and we soon found out there was a problem with our booking, we were sent for first night to sister hotel which is ...
... down with such force the streets were flooded in seconds, I have never seen anything like it! We were luckily under a brolly but the streets cleared in seconds and after 5 minutes it stopped as quickly as it started and the streets were packed again - really odd to see but can also understand how easy the city flooded!

... 3. It was heavenly after a hot day of walking. The Dr came in and looked at my tongue and said that my kidneys weren't working very well and gave me some Chinese medicine. I'm going to give it a go and see if it works. :) After the foot treatment our driver left us and then the fun began!!!
