... 6.20am. Half way through the seat belt light came on and the flight crew told us we were going through turbulence. I have never experienced anything like that in my life and I hope I never will again. My heart nearly jumped out my chest whilst the plane was jumping up and down. . We arrived at 8.15am into Phuket airport. We had already read to get onto the airport to town bus. It cost 100bart ...

On our third day in paradise we had booked in a tour to go out to the Phi Phi Islands by speedboat. Because it was a verrrry early rise, there was no time for brekkie, so the lovely obliging staff at Indigo Pearl zoomed off to the kitchen to grab us a packed breakfast to take away and eat on the trip down to Phuket Marina. We did actually arrange this at the time of booking the tour, but what I can only imagine was a language barrier issue saw the staff running around trying to ...

... to buy her a drink, whew. We went back to the hostel and bought some beer at the 7/11. There were over 20 people sitting at a long table in the common room drinking and we sat down and joined them. I learned an interesting drinking game from some English girls and it was funny because it involved l these foreign people speaking with a southern accent. We went out afterwards to a few bars and there's girls dancing on poles all over the place. Les ...
