      ... to freshen up with a hot shower, then trot along to the check-in counter. The series of manure storms that broke out at the check-in counter all the way to the boarding gate caught us unprepared with no umbrella and no raincoat.       Paula and Paul organized a lovely birthday party for me at one of the specialty restaurants, the Olympic. We had our own dining room in the wine cellar. What an amazing meal, and the service was 5 star. I had duck breast and duck confit as well as lobster bisque which was served from individual tea pots. They brought a lemon birthday cake that was light and delicious. We started at 7:30 and didn't leave until after 10:30. It was a wonderful ...
