    ... than normal for the time of year. Getting sun-withdrawal symptoms and wanting to warm up a bit, we continued west having to miss out on our stop in Mississippi. A shame, because reputedly Meridian has the best ice cream in the land (and we all know which crew member loves ice cream)!     ... by 2 shots, but struggled in the back 9 holes to lose by a few. The weather in Fort Worth is really warm, into the late 20s and lots of sunshine. The sun and heat took a little out of us during the walks and mini golf so we finished the day outings by gong to a few stores.     ... a humming bird that we saw each day and a Cardinal bird that lives near the barn that loves sitting on the car rear view mirrors. There are gofers and armadillos that are nuisances, but we did not see any.
    We enjoyed our time on the farm very much. Jimmy gave us a Cook's tour of Cooke County and among many things took us to a popular local diner for a lunch of ribs. Liz and Jimmy made us very welcome and comfortable.Thank you Liz and Jimmy.
