    Baska to Krk Town

A travel blog entry by jephcottjourney on Jul 07, 2015

On our last full day we decided to drive the full length of the island, which only took 40 minutes and see the town of Baska. The town is famous for a stone tablet found with some of the areas oldest known language. The area is also famous for FKK, which is a acronym used to describe their nudist beaches. This trend was actually started by Queen Elizabeth II uncle, King Edward VIII, who loved to bath in the ...

... see fairies or something. Truly it was like out of a dream. We highly recommend this place to anyone travelling here. It was a wonderful walk through the cool bush and such a contrast to our hot beach holiday. I cannot describe this place and you will just have to enjoy the pictures. Wow what a wonderful bush walk and no wonder Croatians are so proud of this. Next time we will definitely make time ...

There was an obvious answer to Maximus's question, "are you not entertained?", we certainly were!! Chris assured me that if I ever go to Rome that I can cross ...

... more extreme obstacles. The final course was 10 metres off the ground and was more challenging, and really got your heart pumping. I loved all of it, I couldn't choose a favourite! One of the best was the zip lines that were 113 metres long and one of the zip lines took you back down to the ground so you had to run along as you landed and try to stay on your feet. After we had completed all the obstacles the owner of the park offered to order pizza for us. ...

Today we went to Glavani Park which is a high ropes course near our villa. When we arrived the owner came over to greet us. We went to get our harnesses on and were given a safety talk and instructions on how to use the carabiners. Then we were sent off to try the basic course. This was 2 metres off the ground and had a cargo net to walk over, a wobbly bridge, a tightrope and a ...
