. . . . well actually we never did get a ferry across the Mersey. We used the train instead to reach The Wirral and the town of New Brighton having travelled from Derby via Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street.

The weather was dry but cloudy and the temperature was 5 degrees as we left Inverness on Sunday morning for our drive to Liverpool. We had the advantage of an extra hour of sleep because the United Kingsom went onto (or came off) daylight saving in the early hours of Sunday morning and we had to wind the clock back an hour. The United Kingdom is now 11 hours behind Tasmanian time.

... Birmingham past the University toward David and Adriana's house. It is located quite close to the Cadbury factory. The kids played in the garden with Sophia, David and Adriana's 6 year old daughter. We had Paella for lunch and a nice salad. Having not seen each other for 9 years there was quiet a lot of catching up to be done.
