Another massive day, but the weather has turned and the heavens have opened up wide! Train trip to Arashiyama where we experienced Batik making. After chosing the design and the article we wanted to work on, we set about with paint brushes and hot wax to trace and paint! The finished products are amazing! Very relaxed in Matsuyama's onsen neighbourhood Dogo. Anyone who is a Studio Ghibli fan knows that this bath house stood as model for the one in Spirited Away. It's a gorgeous building and apparently the oldest onsen in Japan.. But when it comes to the bath itself well.. ...

... better taste. We have cycled through the sun beach -lovely sand beach surrounded by mountains, with good light you can get an amazing photographs there and enjoy the sunset.
We caught the ferry back to Onomichi, our Japanese friend left us to catch a train back to Himeji, so the three of us want to get some food. We stopped at a lovely local place, where we got a set menu with some raw fish, vegetables, rice, fish soup, tempura and dessert- all funny decorated! ...
