We had a fantastic 11 hours sleep last night. We got up about 9 and headed up for breakfast. We then took a taxi to playa del carmen. We walked down to the beach to look at the sea then went into a Starbucks for a proper cup of tea and some free wifi!! We booked a 'hotel' for when we arrive at Lima ...

... Cenote Chaak Tun. Strangely NOBODY in town knows where it is or has even heard of it. We decide to have a bit of an adventure and look for it ourselves. We hire some bikes and get the approximate directions from Google Maps.

Google Maps say: 'Ride straight down Calle Juarez.'

So we ride and keep riding until the road becomes a dirt road. The only traffic passing us are BIG dump trucks and commercial vehicles. It was an extremely ...

... conch shell house, but only from the outside because its privately owned (google it – it’s amazing). We finished off at Playa Norte lazing on the beach with a bucket of coronas (for like 2.50 each) then before dinner we did a night loop of the island.

The next day we jumped the ferry and the bus to Isla Holbox, a 4 hour journey to get there. It was pretty cool all the streets are just sand and again people cruise around on golf carts, but unfortunately there ...
