The Magic Drink

We stopped by a fruit stand and Bob handed me this fruit. The taste was not memorable but I haven't been able to find any information of it, including its name. Anyone familiar with this?
As with any awesome journey, the end comes too soon. Sunday morning we made the 7 hour drive back to Manzanillo and off I went. No matter, I was already planning round 2 on the plane.
