          Great Stay

We checked in Monday evening and checked out Wednesday at noon. Just one street over from Bourbon Street, on Royal Street, the location was perfect. It was still walking distance too most main attractions but not in the middle of Bourbon Street chaos.
We got a King Suite which had a separate living area and two bathrooms (we didn't even use the second room)

Delightful hotel right in the heart of the French Quarter - you can walk to anywhere. Beautifully decorated in an old world French style. Recommend joining the Omni Select Guest programme (free) then you get free WiFi in your room, items pressed FOC, complimentary beverage delivered to your room each morning - loved that pot of hot coffee. Staff were all so friendly and polite. Had breakfast in the Rib Room one morning - fantastic value -and delicious. Lovely rooftop pool and bar area with wonderful views of the city. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay in New Orleans.

*The Royal Omni is not only well located but has a reasonable sized rooftop swimming pool which at 7.30 in the morning SG has to herself. Bliss. The conference delegates who also flock to New Orleans have had to go to work to justify their party time later.

          Day 32 Monday 26 September 2016

*We decide to take a look at Under Natchez and the Mississippi at dawn. So before a paper plate and plastic cup breakfast, we take a quick drive down to waterside.

The next morning we left the coach in Biloxi and drove over to New Orleans. We had a hotel booked a a block from Bourbon Street so we could be in the thick of things if we wanted to but we were hoping for quiet at night to catch our zzzz’s. When we got there we were very happy with the Hotel Mazarin and the location was great for walking to everything we wanted to do.We had an awesome meal on Bourbon Street at Nola..they made the best red beans ...
