... their several local food markets, a shopping area with high end stores that could easily be in any one of our cities, and pedestrian only streets with heating coils underground to melt the winter snow. We were surprised to see fresh strawberries at the market, just being harvested. They said they had a late summer.

... traditional Finnish salmon soup with roasted reindeer rump served with potato puree, scorched parsnip and cranberry sauce. The soup came in a little wooden bowl with a handle and was a delicious, buttery broth loaded with chunks of salmon and potato. Normally I add pepper to everything, but this is one of the few dishes I've had that wax perfectly spiced as is. I'm not a huge fan of salmon, but I could eat this all day. Delicious. ... hearts accompanied by a creamy orange sauce. Following the char I was presented with a very small glass bowl that I assumed was my dessert. It contained a dollop of cream sauce and a hard biscuit-like cube about the size of my thumb nail. It took no time at all to dispatch that small offering and I was still satisfied and ready for the bill. To my surprise a much larger plate then arrived with my real dessert (see picture).
