    ... Germany. The two cities are similar in that they are both surrounded by fortified walls with ramparts on top. Ramparts are covered walkways on the walls. They also both have museums of medieval torture devices. Anyway, the town was so charming with all the typical things I love in an old European city—cobblestones, windy, narrow streets and fun shops and cafes and beautiful churches.

    I CANNOT describe the absolute disappointment. Especially since my connecting flight was in 26 hours, I doubt they would have let me bum around the general area of the airport. Plus I was really, really looking forward to a shower. And somewhere ...

    ... Given this complete lack of information, I did what any self-respecting programmer would do: start spiraling outwards! I did eventually find the hotel, and it would have been really easy to get to had I known which direction to go. The hotel is quite nice actually, I am pleasantly surprised.

    ... the corridors and there were fans everywhere. Eating loads of different things and all talking excitedly. We found our seats and we were overwhelmed by the size. We got nachos for dinner. They had shredded pork with loads of yummy sauces on it. Danny also got some sausages! They just eat sausages like we would chips. So weird. There was no hot chips either. Overall a great experience, we had loads of fun but we are still so so tired! Cannot wait for Rome ...
