Today would be another day where i would pack as many museums as i could into the day, you would think that i would learn by now. I got up at 7.30am, showered, dressed and had breakfast – breakfast on a tray. After eating and cleaning up my tray, i tidied up, got ready for the day, used the WiFi and then left the hostel just after 9am. I walked to the tram stop. Caught the tram to the stop in front of the parliament building and got off.

Another UNESCO World Heritage site. The"fortress of Finland" has been described as "the Gibraltar of the North" and you can certainly understand why. Considerable fortifications and numerous large cannons spread over 2 Islands, along with about ...

... came back to the ship. We hadn’t had any lunch so we headed down to the International Café for a quiche and salad to keep us going till dinner. We bumped into Lloyd and Janine there and made arrangements to go up to Skywalkers Lounge for a cocktail before dinner. Someone had told us that the views up there were great and we should go up, but what they didn’t mention was that they were either Platinum or Elite status and the lounge is only open ...

... was clear. After our Ferris wheel ride we walked around to the Uspenski Katedraali, the Orthodox Church I had visited on Day 1. Today it was open so we were able to venture inside. We were there at the same time as a tour group so it was pretty crowded. We managed to get some photos and head off. We walked around the water along Pohjoisranta stopping along the way to check out the boats docked alongside. It started to rain on us so we ...
