We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

From Girona we took a secondary road to Figueres, through pleasant farming country with views of some of the smaller Pyrenees outliers. Figueres is the birthplace of artist Salvador Dali and the place where he established his famous theatre museum. ... including the Roman, Jewish, Frankish/Visigoth and medieval aspects. We went to the history museum that displayed materials from Roman times onwards, but it as an inadequate account compared with the impressive displays and curating at the Catalonian history museum in Barcelona. The Jewish museum in Girona seemed to be the best one.

Sharpie dropped and picked up our luggage on one of these streets We walked up to the castle on the hill which was an old monastery at the top and now there are a couple of restaurants/bars within the stone walls. One at the very top isright near the edge of a cliff and its deck looks put over the ocean. So inviting we had a wine to soak in ...
