For our last evening we had a little stroll around the village and Jayne bought some knick knackeries for the folks back home. As the local scran hadn't come up to scratch we decided on some Chinese food. We ended up in an authentic restaurant called Hong Kong 97, strange name but there you go. Tomorrow we were going to try and get out for some jolly japes on the high seas.

There's a mix of Brits & other Europeans here and very few young ones. There's plenty of the sandal & socks brigade here. We speak to few of them and it turns out there's lots of retired Brit expats here. The place is very hilly and so we ...

... on the desk found us two seats on a flight set to leave at 14.25pm......and we had to pay. Britain had a couple of goes at stealing Tenerife, but were never successful, which is a bit of a shame. Our very own Horatio Nelson had a go on the 25th of July 1797, he was dealt a googlie by the Spanish and a poor batting response resulted in him losing his right arm in this particular innings.
