... got the cameras and took some pictures. After breakfast we went for a walk, the track meandered down hill and was muddy in places. Still cold in the shade of the trees yet warm in the sun. We saw a lot of mushrooms and fungus growing, an old hawthorn tree covered in lichen and a clump of mistletoe hanging in the middle of it's branches. Time for a kiss! The roads out of Istanbul are almost as choked and unpleasant as those coming in... until we reach the huge suspension bridge from Europe into Asia. Then, for ten minutes, it almost makes the battle seem worthwhile. The views on both sides are breathtaking. The Raven, however, only starts to breathe more easily when he's put about a hundred miles between himself and Istanbul. Other than that, we spent our time relaxing by the pool and sea at Casa dell Arte, a small family hotel in a quiet old fishing village. Mum had some wonderful quality time with the children, and Benjamin was back on form, fully recovered from his nasty bout of conjunctivitis, and finally eating again.
