The goal of visiting Omaha was going to the supposed best zoo in the world. We arrived there at 10:30am and left at 4:15pm, shortly before they closed at 5pm. We had to get up early for our flights to Omaha. We started walking to the train station at 7:15am and caught the train that stopped right at Reagan National airport. The train conductor was very helpful, providing clear guidance about the next stop. Walking through to the Southwest terminal at the airport Sam had an unfortunate fall due to loss of balance caused by her blocked ear. Fortunately no harm done this time, unlike her ...

Gotta say a big THANK YOU to Cameron for lending me his 2 walkie talkies. They've been an easy way to communicate while we're driving. Can't imagine not having them along for the ride.

We enjoyed our stay in Omaha. Lovely city - 410,000 population, on the Missouri River. Big enough to have everything, but small enough to have a country town feel. Enjoyed our time here.
