From the Kansas River entrance at Kansas City to where Council Bluffs is now was a rough section of the Missouri River for LC. Strong currents and high water made for a very treacherous and difficult pull for the Corps. I simply drove along in one day what took them nearly a month.

I got in a lot later than I expected--almost 7:30pm. Luckily there was a Perkins like right next to the hotel so I ran over to get a salad. Meh. I had hoped that I could catch Expedition Unknown on the Travel Channel but no luck there. I fell asleep a little after 9.
... kayaking below dam again but storm clouds kept us from going. So, we are going tomorrow and Scott is going to get a fishing license and try for some trout. Did take the kayak across the lake today though. What a workout that was cuz it was a mile or more to the other shore. But, we got there and back.
