I got an email from Viator, a travel app, detailing a day trip from Barcelona to the Costa Brava. So I wrote down all the names of the places they would visit on this tour and off we went. The first place we drove into was called Calella de Palafrugell. They described it as a small coastal town, postcard perfect and to have your cameras ready to capture all the bobbing boats in the harbour. Well they were right, its very picturesque and ...

Our primo campground is 38km from Barcelona and its right next to the mediterranean or the Balearic Sea. It is cooler on the coast and the sea breezes are very welcome. It is still about 30 degrees each day but with a beautiful sea to dive into and two lovely pools at the campground its really not a hardship. Today we were supposed to go into Barcelona on the train to explore however when we came from the mountains our brakes were smelling and and since we brought the vehicle the ...

Beautiful deep blue skies, fab roads, great day out. As dusk fell wanderied the Ramblas and the ancient labyrinthine alleyways of the old Jewish Quarter, with elegant Rosata and tapas dinner. ...

To the old phrase " only mad dogs and Englishman go out in the midday sun", you may add KNBC cyclists. We headed off from Argele sur mer about 8 and headed down the coast. Spectacular scenery, but the idea that we were finished climbing quickly turned out to be a myth. Each village along the coast involves a descent with a subsequent climb on the other side. Just after we crossed the border we took the alternate route to avoid a tunnel which involved the ...

... to eat the hotel buffet for dinner I drew the line and headed off into the old town, where I ended up being somewhat disappointed. I took a photo of the cathedral just so I could say I was there, and ended up not having dinner at all until I got back to my hotel room where I enjoyed some cereal and milk (!), Along the way I passed some guys playing futbol in the park - and that was cooler than Old Girona for ...
