I will talk about the trip in Korea later. Let's see photos first.
Seoul, Korea Rep. b.wirachaiOur hosts at the airport did not hear that our plane was missed so they were very worried and finally called Narayan who looked into it and found that we were on another plane. We took some pictures with a banner our host district made and then jumped into a van and off to Olympic Park Hotel for rest and adjustment time.
Incheon, Korea Rep. kr9st9nWe meet Steve - Steve meets the team in the Lobby of the Olympic Park Hotel. After Loading our luggage - and this was a task - the one thing we did not take pictures of was our luggage! it was embarrassing - but we all wanted to be prepared - Holly had a suitcase full of gifts and Elmer had one devoted to just print material (our business cards, flyers, and gifts! So - we load up a van with enough luggage for a village and we head off with Steve and Andrew - Now that we are learning some Kore...

... the revolving restaurant, which we tried to get into but it was booked out. So we got ourselves the observation deck and Korean restaurant package. This packaged allowed us entry into the official observation level as well as dinner in the Korean restaurant just 1 level below it. Overall it was a great little package and the restaurant is designed so that everyone gets a window seat to enjoy the spectacular view. So amazing it was and the food ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. birkborkasson... choose to grill two types of meats. You can only choose 1 type of meat to grill at your table. Lame. Cheers to beer, HITE to be exact.
Day 3 Wednesday 9/9/09:
Doing my own thing today in the morning. Had to go buy more cleaning products, bleach, and scrub the bathroom tiles and clean the wooden floors in the living room. Disgusting. That damn sofa looks nasty too. Ugh. Febreeze please.
I walked to my school which is a 10 minute walk (3 blocks) away from my ...

A young boy reads an an ancient book and comes across a word he is not familiar with.
"Father what is a gun?"
"It's a tool that was used a very long time ago. It fires a bullet which is a little metal ball like object."
"Why don't we have any?"
"We don't have any guns because they are a creation of humanity that nearly destroyed us. Before guns people fought with clubs and stones. Then swords, axes ...
... Changdeokgung, the Palace of Illustrious Virtue, is best known for its rear garden called Biwon (the Secret Garden). The palace will help in knowing a lot of Korean history and one can see a display of traditional Korean architecture. Lotte World is like a small city with an amusement park, folk museum, sports center (including a skating rink and pool/water slide park), shopping center, and hotel. Most facilities are indoors, so they can be enjoyed throughout the ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. shru24... same shirts and shoes. What a great marketing strategy and commitment enforcing project to get your significant other to dress in the same clothing! It seems as though the relationships here are set for life (your hooked and your together or you’re not) there is no shade of grey!
The food as with everything gets ‘old’. Kimchi the most popular dish ...
... ever seen! they were really bright fabrics with the intricate bead work everywhere! Mezmorizing! Maybe I need to schedule a trip to India in the near future. Oh, and at the subway stop there were handmade, tradition Korean kites hung all over the ceiling of that station. They were so cool! I want one! After our dinner we went to an Irish bar in Itaewon. I am not that fond of Itaewon. It is an expat haven. It is ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. april.abate... I left, we had a ceremony that highlighted each of the countries that had come. We found out half an hour earlier that we had to have a speech and a song of peace prepared. George, Fred and Rosalie said that they thought that I should do it because they've been waiting for peace for awhile and wanted to hand it off to the younger generation. I was nervous, but pulled out a pencil and jotted a couple pages in my Moleskine. I wrote about how ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. katiegrip... enough to get into a car on my own with a couple of complete strangers in a foreign country. However, as the hotel was okay, in a great location, cheap and I finally got to go to the toilet, I decided not to press the issue.
I went off for a hike that afternoon. The buddha was very impressive, as were the rest of the temple grounds. Walking through the forest was extremely peaceful until I stated getting dive-bombed by enormous flies, at which point I decided it would be a wise ...
