... as it had started to rain again. The downpours are so heavy but then they only last for a few minutes.

Late morning, Marianne and I went to the post office and then for an early lunch. We sat just outside the gates of the Nha Trang Air Force base. A score of young cadets were sat with us eating their sandwiches. There are so many baguettes here in Vietnam.

... drop into the half pipe where we were gripping onto dear life because you feel like you're to be going to flip over. Then the tube hits the stream in the middle of the half pipe which is where the injuries in every to tube I watched occur also. ... Drinks - pop or beer - were $1. This is some of the the most expensive beer we've had in Vietnam, I think, which is still ridiculously cheap. After lunch we docked up with some other boats for the boy band show. Some of the crew from the different boats formed a band on our ship with an electric guitar, base and drums.
