... this time we've loaded runners and flip flops but in the past we've loaded a pair of dress shoes and runners. It's especially nice to keep any smelly shoes separate from the clothes packed. Because of the duffle shape, it's great to store flat larger items (like pants and jackets) at the bottom and then rolled t-shirts and socks on top where it's narrower and plushy.

I've never been homesick before. For as long as I can remember, I never crave the feeling of sleeping in my own bed. I don't yearn to come home. For me, Home has always been a feeling deep inside that I have been able to carry with me anywhere I go. I have felt at home at the Taj Mahal. I have felt home sitting and watching people celebrate a festival in Spain. I have felt home eating waffles out of a cardboard box ...

... getting the Rental Car and then driving across to the other side of town where my B&B (less the second B) is took a chunk of the afternoon, and some shopping for groceries and mailing supplies took the rest.

Tomorrow I am off to check out Calgary CBD and area ... a city without a history, according to the Guidebooks. But not without sights, according to the same books!

... resembles big US metropoles, like NYC. There are lots of parks, small Chinatown and a nice pedestrian area. I also got the chance to hear the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra at the Jack Singer Concert Hall ("Hungarian Rhapsody") and it was amazing!
One of the best discoveries in Canada for me were the thirft shops, which are like second-hand shops where you can buy not only clothes and shoes but also household articles, ...
