Could do with free wi-fi and better fan for summer!
Very convenient on tramline route but noisy and in heat had to open window facing right onto busy street with trams throughout night.
Compact room but all that is needed, except proper ventilation / fan.

    ... dream…

    October 12, 2013

Even after our $12 coffee and $100 lunch we were still unprepared for our trip to Subway. Subway is subway, we figured. Always a tasty, reasonably priced meal… right? Wrong. We each ordered a foot-long sub (with thoughts that we could use one big sub as two meals, to save some cashola) and one bottle of coca-cola. These sandwich artists must have been trained by someone famous like Michel ...

... town follows the river and is very pretty, dating from medieval times. We learnt from listening into a tour guide that you can drink water from any fountain in Zurich, the only ones you can't will be clearly labelled. All the fountains we saw had spouts with running water.

We completed our walk and decided to visit the Tourist Information Centre which we only found when we returned to the station. As there was a long queue we returned to our hotel, as the batteries in ...

    Into the Alps

... crowded. We managed to find a seat in the back row with space for our bags. We arrived after one hour and walked to Hotel Radisson Blu, chosen because it's proximity to the train station, about 5 minutes walk (10 with luggage). It's actually quite removed from the old town but it's a pretty and modern hotel. Our room faced the ...
