Could do with free wi-fi and better fan for summer!
Very convenient on tramline route but noisy and in heat had to open window facing right onto busy street with trams throughout night.
Compact room but all that is needed, except proper ventilation / fan.

... Haha! We laughed and laughed! Luckily, the train wasn't full so he sat next to us. We were on the train to Zurich for about 4 hours. We ordered a drink and chips at the bar, and the total was $6! We REALLY were headed to Switzerland. Once we arrived, we went to the ATM, and tried taking a taxi to our hostel, however, the taxi driver said it was too close and said we should walk. We walked down the street, ...

... time to hit the evening rush hour. We managed to work our way through the crowds and walked to our hotel in the city center, Hotel Lindner. We were going to call it an early evening but I connected with a friend who lives here and went out to meet him at a beer hall owned by one of the big local breweries, Zum Augustiner. We tried a few beers and got some tips on things to see and do in the area.

Now that we've stayed up late I hope we can get on the right schedule tomorrow.

... looks like a great night then a swift return to Germany. And just to add insult to injury with the uncapped Swiss Franc now zooming to the stars the place has gone nuts, beer which seemed priced OK last week is stuffers this week with the rise in the Franc. So much for all the "we will fight them on the beaches from the Gnomes of Zurich just a few weeks ago, smart fast move or just brought to heel by the unforgiving markets, ops I am on holiday! No market stuff for me ...

... stumbled across an English language bookstore which was a rare sight so we decided to pop in. It ended up being a great stop because both Bree and I discovered some new authors that sounded interesting and thanks to some Amazon gift cards that my mom had given us, we could test drive a few new options to find some new favorites. So after scouring the shelves for a bit we continued on and made our way over to the old town area where we were staying. There weren’t ...
