Could do with free wi-fi and better fan for summer!
Very convenient on tramline route but noisy and in heat had to open window facing right onto busy street with trams throughout night.
Compact room but all that is needed, except proper ventilation / fan.

  • I went to town afterwards with Marco to have a few more drinks. I lost Marco for a while but eventually found him again before getting some food and the heading back to his place.

Arrived at airport to the sight of armed soldiers as we colleCted our luggage. However they didn't even check our bags and were quite welcoming at customs. Had a coffee then caught the train into Zurich HB. Got a little mixed directions from helpful locals but finally found our hotel - Limmittof. Clean, basic and expensive which is why we are only staying one night. No fridge or coffee making stuff and wifi only in ...

... the market and nearly flooded the place with drool. In my line of sight and dangerously within reach were, giant wheels of cheese, olives by the bucket load, breads beyond compare and fresh hand made pasta. I peeled my eyes away and power walked in the opposite direction, everyone knows, once you start you can't stop. Found the old quarter of town and loved it. Just like in the films, little boutiques, tiny alley ways, cobble stone streets, the click clack of heels on the ...

... reinforced, we headed back in search of a chocolate shop for Caitlin. Turns out, we actually passed one on our walk, but were too distracted by the sign "Asia Town" to notice (we couldn’t figure out if this was a restaurant or somehow indicated a very small “China town”-esque part of Lucerne.) Caitlin picked out a small box of items, took a bite of one, and instantly lit up like a kid in, well, a kid in a Swiss chocolate shop.
