    First stop was an actual carpet making business where we were shown how they extract the silk from the silk worm shell and then create the fibre that will be coloured and used to make carpets. It is a highly skilled and tedious job. One carpet piece has 5.5 million stitches and took 3 years to make.

    ... area called Asklepieion. The original site was built about 300 BC as a healing centre, and then rebuilt about 100 AD and used for many years. It has a number of hot springs on the site which were considered necessary for healing.
